BatteReverse consortium member and Eurecat researcher Èric Domingo Roca will present 'Sistemas robóticos con ROS para el desmontaje y recuperación de materiales en baterías EV' (ROS-powered robotic systems for disassembly and recovery of materials in EV batteries) on 19 September at at the Pablo Olavide University in Seville, Spain.
With the rise of electric vehicles, there is an increasing need for advanced solutions for EV battery end-of-life management and cell recovery. Eric's presentation explains how ROS-enabled robotic systems help automate phases of EV battery disassembly. These systems ensure safe and efficient disassembly, and their ability to sort components without damaging them promotes sustainable battery management. ROS-enabled robotic solutions improve flexibility and productivity, maximising waste recovery and reducing environmental impact.
ROSCon is an annual event that brings Spanish-speaking ROS (Robot Operating System) developers of all skill levels, from beginners to experts, together to learn and network with the ROS robotics community. This year's edition, ROSCon 2024, will be held on 19 to 20 September 2024. Eric's presentation takes place from 18:05 to 18:15 (CET).
