TES SBS France (TES) has been a leader in the lithium battery recycling market since they started operations in 2005. They were the world’s first site for recycling lithium-ion batteries and they were granted an international patent in 2008 that is currently valid in three continents. Besides the recycling of used batteries, TES is now involved and growing in second life battery space. They work with Global 2000 businesses, OEMs, hyperscale cloud providers, financial services firms, technology innovators, etc. in order to improve the way they manage their technology asset lifecycle. They own and manage over 40 recycling facilities in over 20 countries.
Contribution
TES is primarily involved in Work Package 4, where they lead Task 4.1 Safe and efficient first opening of the battery pack and supports T4.2 Complete dismantling of the battery after opening and Task 4.3 Sorting for reuse/recycling of the battery components.
